As humanity spread into space we found that we were not alone.
There were many extra-terrestrial beings who had to be fought to expand humanity's empire and ensure the safety of Terra. Most had a much lower technological development and were easily colonised.
Some were more equal in their technological development and fierce battles and wars with these races killed many.
But none were feared like the Duckulons. At 4 metres tall and 500kg in weight Duckulons were by far the biggest of all the intelligent species found in our arm of the galaxy. The only species able to fight Xenomorphs one to one and win.
Luckily, they spent their time fighting each other rather than the puny humans. Their main threat was periodic raids of colonised planets where they would abduct humans to work in their factories, mines and fields. The Duckulons would always pay a fee after taking the humans and didn’t know what the fuss was all about. “Obviously we had to deduct various costs for the food and transportation to the Duckulon planets! It would be slavery if we paid for everything!” said the Duckulon Ambassador on Terra. He often despaired of humanity ever joining the intelligent races.
The humans always complained and often tried to interfere with Duckulons so called "recruiting visits".
Being 4 metres tall the Duckulons personal weapons were automatic 20mm cannon with exploding shells. They did not have to have heavy weapons. Their personal anti-tank defence was a few Duckulons turning a tank on its side.
Their large egg shaped Drop Ships came in two forms. The troop carrying Drop Ship with feet that allowed it to waddle about the battlefield and the Assault Ship armed with a large gun that moved across the battlefield on large legs.
Here are a few photos of a Duckulon recruiting mission to Omicron Eight.

I saw these plastic eggs at a $2 shop at Easter and immediately thought that they would make great drop ships. All I need was an alien race to man them. After looking around the web for a while I settled on these.
The Duckulons are a minor conversion of a Pendraken Minotaur figure. All I did was cut off the horns and squish the nose into a beak. Paint does the rest.
Go the Duckulons!
