Finally I get the first part of the British Napoleonic's completed .... all having been primed for about 3 months.
Two Horse Artillery Limbers, three Horse Artillery guns, and three Line Infantry guns.
The Pendraken Horse Artillery included an outrider for each limber, but as these would not fit on the bases I had in mind they were both given battlefield promotions to ADC's for Wellington.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan. I didn't find them too hard. Maybe because they are smaller and the only additional colour is the contrast paint used for the horses which does everything on them.

Thanks James. It helps that I do a really simple job on the guns and limbers. One colour for all the wood work, one for the wheel rims and one for the barrel. This is where I find the contrast paints really useful for picking out all the detail with very little effort by me as I slosh the the paint over the model. 😂

DeleteNice job, I quite like doing artillery because you get this strange sense that the army build has taken a big step forward. I try to prime in summer to give me a winter painting stash, when the weather is often unkind to the rattle can.
