I have finally got myself going with the French Napoleonic Painting Pile.
Starting with Napoleon's favourite arm.... the artillery.
So nine guns and 36 crew painted. I am off to a flying start.
Guns painted with GW contrast paints. Blue is also a contrast paint but does not really show any difference. The rest are all standard acrylics.

And now, following on from Norm's post about the Nauk Nauk app.
The guns firing
And a bit of a blooper!
I think that these are lots of fun and the best use of AI yet. Even my mum was impressed 😂
Next up some cavalry
Figures all 10mm from Pendraken
Fine looking Grand Battery! I agree that animation is an interesting test case for AI.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan.
DeleteThese are great Ben and I like the AI effects!
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith.
DeleteSplendid work old fruit. Love the AI. All done with mirrors they say.
ReplyDeleteThanks JBM. I wonder where they get the mirrors from 😁
DeleteA great start - love the blooper.
ReplyDeleteThanks Norm. The bloopers are my favourites for these animations. It certainly comes up with some funny things.
DeleteA good start indeed. And fun movies. 😁 good for you to impress your mother.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stew! Not too hard to impress my mum though, she is very kind.
DeleteArtillery 'the God of War' great start to your Napoleonic Armies!
ReplyDeleteNapoleon's favourite as well. 😁
DeleteI always start with artillery for some reason. Easy gains? Tighter research focus? Hard to say. Welcome to garde d'armee!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. I think you are right. It is easier to paint and feels like a good start before you get into the 100's of line infantry.
DeleteWhat's not exciting about ten batteries of artillerie à pied? Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, James
Thanks James... always good to have a grandiose grand battery 😁
DeleteExcellent artillery force, a lovely start to your Napoleonics! I tend to start with infantry and reward myself with artillery somewhere down the line!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain. I looked at all the infantry and decided to do something easier...very lazy!
